A certificate is not only an audit record. It provides evidence for deciding whether the instrument remains suitable and what action is needed.
Check identification first
Confirm customer details, brand, model, serial number, date, location, environment, method and accessories against the actual instrument.
- Identity must be unambiguous
- Range and points should represent use
- Page continuity and authorization should be complete
Interpret results and uncertainty
Compare reference values, indications and errors at each point, then consider uncertainty with the organization's acceptance criteria and decision rule.
