Mobile Flow Meter Calibration up to 300 m³/h with SK

Bring high-flow calibration planning closer to your facility. SK's vehicle-based laboratory supports water flow rates up to 300 m³/h under the relevant ANAB AC-3279 Mobile Laboratory entries, helping eligible projects reduce off-site meter shipping and coordinate calibration with maintenance teams.
1. What is mobile flowmeter calibration?
A mobile laboratory brings a flow calibration setup and reference instruments to the customer's facility. The meter is compared with the reference under the agreed method. Mobile describes the service arrangement, rather than a particular meter technology.
This arrangement can make maintenance scheduling, grouping several instruments and communication with SK technicians and engineers easier. Actual time and cost savings depend on quantity, site location and preparation.
- Reduce off-site shipping for eligible work
- Coordinate test points with production, maintenance and QC/QA
- Agree reconnection and shutdown arrangements in advance
- Confirm scope and certificate requirements before booking
2. Where does the 300 m³/h capability come from?
ANAB certificate AC-3279 accredits S K Sale and Service Co., Ltd. to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for a defined scope. Scope version 004, updated 26 January 2026, lists Volume Liquid Flow Rate – Flow Meters on printed page 6. Mobile Laboratory work uses reference flow meters under SK-WI-018 and SK-WI-019.
The stated medium is water at 15–40 °C. The five entries below remain separate, as in the source, rather than being merged into blanket coverage.
| Flow range | Listed CMC / expanded measurement uncertainty |
|---|---|
| 100–15 000 L/h | 0.15% of reading |
| 1 000–40 000 L/h | 0.15% of reading |
| 15 000–120 000 L/h | 0.13% of reading |
| 1–300 m³/h | 0.15% of reading |
| 50–300 m³/h | 0.15% of reading |
Original units retained. 300 m³/h equals 5 000 L/min. Meter, test points, method and site suitability must be confirmed for each job.

3. Which meters can be submitted for assessment?
The mobile entry names ultrasonic, variable area, Coriolis and magnetic flowmeters. Suitability also depends on the model, connections, operating range, output and installation. For Coriolis instruments, specify whether you need volume flow or another parameter: this cited entry concerns volume liquid flow.
- Ultrasonic: identify sensors and the associated readout
- Variable area: provide scale, units and operating conditions
- Coriolis: specify the measurand and required results
- Magnetic: provide pipe/flange size and output signal

4. Which applications suit a mobile visit?
Factory water and utility-system teams can submit meter inventories for assessment, especially when several instruments or planned maintenance can be coordinated. For food and beverage facilities, declare the previous process medium and any cleaning or hygiene requirements.
The cited scope uses water for volume liquid flow calibration. It does not establish coverage for every gas, oil, steam or mass-flow application. Discuss any difference between actual process conditions and the documented calibration conditions before booking.
5. Preparing your meters and site
Send meter and nameplate photos with the intended operating range. SK will assess the method, test points, connections and site readiness before confirming the quotation and schedule.
- 1. Submit details for suitability assessment
- 2. Agree scope, method, test points and reconnection
- 3. Confirm water, power, drainage and space with SK
- 4. Review the actual results against your acceptance criteria

| Item | Details to provide |
|---|---|
| Meter | Brand, model, serial number, quantity and nameplate photos |
| Measurement | Units, operating range, test points and acceptance criteria |
| Connections | Pipe/flange size, output and associated readout |
| Use history | Previous medium, cleaning needs and removal restrictions |
| Site | Province, address, vehicle access, parking and safety requirements |
| Schedule | Preferred dates, shutdown window and certificate needs |
6. Understanding CMC and the calibration results
The scope's 0.15% of reading is the expanded uncertainty listed for the applicable capability. It is not a guarantee that every customer meter has an error within ±0.15%. The scope notes specify coverage factor k = 2, corresponding to approximately 95% confidence.
Read the actual instrument identification, points, units, error or correction and uncertainty together. Compare results with your process criteria. If a statement of conformity is required, agree the criteria and decision rule in advance. Adjustment or repair should be agreed separately.

FAQ
What is SK's maximum mobile flow calibration rate?
The applicable ANAB AC-3279 version 004 mobile entries reach 300 m³/h for water at 15–40 °C. The meter, method, test points and site conditions must be confirmed before acceptance.
Must the meter be removed from the process?
Removal and reconnection to the vehicle setup may be needed. Agree access, reconnection and shutdown requirements in advance; continuous-production calibration is not guaranteed.
Does the service cover every water meter below 300 m³/h?
No. Model, type, connections, output, operating points and applicable scope must also be assessed.
Is the 0.15% CMC a guaranteed meter accuracy?
No. It is a scope uncertainty for the relevant capability. Use the actual calibration error and uncertainty when assessing your meter against its required limits.
How are price and timing determined?
They depend on meter type and quantity, points, reconnection, travel and site readiness. Send the inventory and location so SK can confirm a quotation and schedule.
